Mama’s Boy
Mama’s Boy
This augmented reality experience was developed as part of Romeo Roxman Gatt’s solo exhibition, extending the physical works into a responsive, digital layer.
The project explores metamorphosis as an ongoing, evolutionary process—one that unfolds across bodies, environments, and time. Through AR, the work reveals shifting trans ecologies, embodied memories, and states of becoming that exist within liminal, in-between spaces.
Rather than offering a fixed narrative, the experience invites audiences to engage with transformation as something fluid and continuous. Physical space becomes augmented with speculative forms and traces, blurring the boundaries between the real and the virtual, the present and the remembered.
By integrating AR into the exhibition, the project expands how these themes can be encountered—positioning technology as a medium for exploring identity, transition, and the poetics of change.
