Sivras Magazine
Sivras Magazine
Sivras is an experimental hybrid publication that expands the format of the magazine into an immersive, multi-layered experience. Combining print with augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), the project rethinks how editorial content can be encountered—moving from page to space, from image to interaction.
The inaugural issue features contributions from Roxman Gatt, Alix Marie, Rosie Gibbens, Boi Hugo, and Laila Majid. Their works engage with themes of body politics, queer identity, censorship, fragmentation, augmentation, and consumer culture.
At its core, Sivras seeks to translate artistic practice into an interactive and embodied encounter. Printed pages act as entry points into digital layers, where a mobile AR application enables image tracking and unlocks additional content. Alongside this, custom-built VR environments extend the publication into fully immersive spaces, incorporating performative and spatial elements.
By merging physical and digital media, Sivras proposes a new editorial model—one where publishing becomes experiential, participatory, and continuously evolving across formats.
